SLP headers for a dual cat car
i just got my headers today and soon i will send them to jethot b4 installion. They didn't come with any installion instructions and if u ask me the pipes they sent with them look small shoulden't they be 3"?? also does anyone have any pics of the SLP shorties installed on a dual cat car???

The pipes they sent you are for the y pipe and should be 2.5". Also, there have been tons of people to include myself that have had to dent the head tube in order to get it to fit on the drivers side where the steering rod is.

Are you coating all 3 pieces and if so, what did they (Jet Hot) quote you? I need the info for our SLP header GP.

no just the shorties and their price for shortie headers was 179.00 + 20.00 for shiping back to me in NY from them so 199.00 even plus my shiping to them. sent mine out today!! can't wait till i get them back and i can install them

Yeah they quoted me 179.00 plus 18.00 shipping. There customer service seems really good also. Post some pics when you get them back!

I was told the pipes they give you in the dual cat kits are a stock sized pipe. The dual cat headpipes are 2-1/4 factory. The y-pipe for single cats is larger because of how restrictive the factory set-up is. A larger y-pipe is necessary because the single cat design is still a restrictive set-up, but its too $$$$$ to convert to dual cats. I guess the companies making dual cat headers feel the pipe sizes are adequate.
BTW, it wouldnt make much sense to have a pipe come off at 2-1/2" then go to 2-1/4 cats, then merge into a 3-inch pipe. Bit of a rollercoster ride
