Looking for a full exaust
well im looking for a full new exaust, headers all the way to exaust tips, but im not a rich kid, im looking for a decent hp increase, as well as lots of sound, someone told me that some exausts will auctually slow my car down because there so big?

someone is stupid then. Full exaust with an open element and a good tuneup on your car will get you from 170HP stock to around 230HP. I have 190HP with what little I've done so far.

could do what RSS did, get the pace setter set up, they sell cheap headers too. well kinda cheat..still morem oney than i have... goto JC whitneys site stuffs kinda cheap. someone told me recently that theyve heard horror stories about pacesetter, so...im hesitating.
dont use Flowmaster if you want true HP, it flows better then stock, but there are alot better flowing systems. they just don't all sound as good.

im looking to increase my ¼mile time, add HP, and have a loud sound, so your saying 3" would give me a slower start?, any suggestions on exaust and headers, also i just had a "standard" catback put on about 4 months ago, would there be any chance that i could sell that, like on ebay or sometihng, you think anyone would buy it?

As far as the cat-back definately go with Hooker , there is a sound clip in a recent post. That's what I have and wouldn't go any other way. At the time I got headers I was in a tight spot on money so I went with Edelbrock. Most people will tell you that they are the most restrictive, you might want to try Hooker headers. And yes your exhaust being too big will hinder your performance as mentioned before due to loss of backpressure. However, if you plan on doing future mods that will bump up HP I would still go with 3" that way in the future you will have it. Typically I believe 3" pipe is needed for 250-300 hp, there was a post a while back referring to this.
