Has anyone ever tried/ will it work ????

I am wanting to run 3" Dual exhaust on my 89 Iroc , however none of the muffler shops in my area want to mess with anything above 2 1/2'" unless it's a prebent system.
I'm wondering if you could take a pair of prebent intermediate pipes "such as the ones from dynomax" & run them side by side & if they would still fit in the factory exhaust channel under the car "for ground clearance"?
I know that I will still have to fabricate from the long tube header collectors to the beginning of the int. pipe " not running any cats" and modify the whole muffler & tailpipe system after it makes its way past the rear axle, which I think I can achieve, but at least this way you would have the pipe assembly past the rear axle "which seems to me like the largest pain of the whole process".
What do ya all Think???
Would it work or has any one tried or done it????

Give me you opinions guys, besause I'm still scratching my a$$ on what to do other than go with a single 4" system.

Thanks Guys, Bruce (70GTO)

Take some measurements. If you did do that i would run some bullets and just dump it.
