Right now I have some cheap LTs I bought from a guy. I was wondering if the cheap Heddmans will clear the slave cylinder setup on my T56?!?! Anyone...

Thanks man. That was a very fast reply with a pic and all. Nice crossmember too. Did you make it? I have spohn one right now, but there is NO room for piping under it right now so my pipes are way too low. I think I'll copy that design if you don't mind. Unless I can buy one somewhere?!?! Wanna make me one? Thanks
Yeah, I made that crossmember myself so it would fit the x-pipe. Looking at it now there are a few things I would change. It's very rigid though. The pipes tuck in nicely on each side of the tranny without any rattles. I used 2.5" pipe.

What would you change on it? What mufflers you gonna run? I was thinking about putting an xpipe with bullets under my car. Not interested in making another crossmember? I'd buy that one in the pic if you're wanting to make yourself a new one! Let me know... later

Thanks! You're the man! This should be in the tech articles or something! I just got your PM, I'll send you one back.
BTW- what mufflers you running? How do your duals go up over your rearend?? TIA

Right now I'm running a pair of 4" diameter Magnaflows. I ran the pipes under the axle, which is what I found easiest. I wouldn't recommend it though, it gets annoying when you're jacking up the car and if the axle hits them you have to line them up under bumper again. No problems with driving it though.
Bullets would be really easy to do, but it might be too loud with it exiting right under the car. I've done it before with Aerochambers and when I switched to Magnaflows under the bumper it got quieter inside the car, but everyone says its definitely louder outside. Then roll down the windows and you it all. A win-win situation

I know the hedmans aren't supposed to be able to fit with a T-5. what is different about the T-56 that makes them fit with that?

On the T5, the bracket for the slave cylinder hits the header collector. The T56 has a pull-style clutch so the slave cylinder is mounted more rearward and won't interfere. But if you use the aftermarket T56 with the T5 bellhousing then you'll still have the same problem.
So what would you change about your design for the crossmember? I'm glad I ran across this post, I think I might try to build a crossmember like that. Do you think the xmember would be weaker if both bars were welded at the top of the back bar instead of one up and one down?
