Got some new cats....

Well for days i had this rattling coming from underneath my car. it totally sounded like somethin was rattling inside my tranny or bellhousing. well i finally got the chance to go under my car and investigate. with the car on i pinpointed the rattle and lucky as i am it was coming from one of the cats. well i thought, since they were the original pieces of garbage i thought id replace them with some newer cats. i called some exhaust shop that everyone goes to and said they carried 'Carsound' cats. He said they were higher flowing but i dunno. they look the same as the old ones. Anyone know bout Carsound cats? Are they really high flowing?

The Carsound Cat is a cheap Muffler shop install, it is not a Hi-Flow Cat. In my opinion look someplace else. A Catco Cat would
be a better choice.

Nope, car sound is considered "high flow". It is made by magnaflow, or carsound makes magnaflow, whatever, you get the point. Several peple told me a car sound cat will out-perform a catco any day. -89IRO

Now is that why Muffler shops use them as stock replacements
on every model car??? Or did you have one installed?? Check replies on the Exhaust Board for what Hi-Flow Cat brands are used.

Car sound cats. are considered "high flow" just as catco and Random are buddy! Here, in so cal. when I was shopping around for a muffler shop about 70% of them only offered catco. That's why I went to a muffler shop that sold magnaflow. -89IRO

Damn, I love it when I'm right. I just can't see spending that much money on a cat. converter like a random. -89IRO
