Not that I'm aware of! In either case, you want the slip tube. The starter would be a pain to replace without the slip. Dont worry, it rarely leaks or causes problems.

Hey thanks for the fast reply, looking closer at the picture I can see it does have a slip tube. Do you know if Polyurthane mounts will make the headers clear things better or worse? Thanks again

The poly mounts will make them clear worse. They raised my motor about 3/4 inch. I can show you exactly where to grind if you get me a picture of the back side of a kmember. The grinding even with the poly mounts is minor.

Would new rubber mounts make it better? Should I just leave the old factory ones in? about how much did you have to grind off the K-member? Is it worth it to be able to keep the poly mounts? Thanks for the fast reply again and sorry for all the questions.

You should replace the mounts if you have the engine out. It's cheap. The rubber vs. poly can be debated. If you are making power or plan on making power, I'd use the poly. If you are just a stocker or mild bolt on guy, then you just need rubber mounts. The poly mounts introduce a little more vibration. You must prepare yourself to handle that, but it's not as bad as I imagined it would be.
There is about 6" of grinding about 1/8 inch deep to get the headers to clear perfectly. If you can find me a picture, I can help you more.

No problem.

Thanks! 224 224 560 560 are the @.050 specs. It's a retro roller comp cams extreme energy custom grind.
