Flowmaster problem please help
Ok i want to get a american thunder cat-back system for my sisters 92 RS 305 5-speed just like my 90 but i got edelbrock. I want the muffler to have the 3in inlet and dual 3in out pipes. Im pretty sure her car is exactly like mine 2.5 cat. Now does ne1 know the part number I do not get why it only goes up till 91 on jegs or summit. Cause im almost positive my exhaust would bolt right on hers.
I was thinkin its the 17234 but didnt know why it only say to 91. Didnt they only make 2 1/2 inch cats and 3in. I know its not a 3in i just went and looked it looked like 2 1/2. Also does the flowmaster system require ne welding on my edelbrock i didnt. Does it go from the 2 1/2 up to 3in entermediate pipe.

actually, i take back what i said before. i dont think there is 2 1/4" cats. the intermediate pipe probably is 2.5". wouldnt make any sense to have a 2.5" cat and 3" pipe. not sure if tailpipes are 2.5 or 3 though...jegs and summit list them differently. anyway, to get the best performance out of the car while still using a cat, youd want an aftermarket 3" cat and then you could use a 3" catback. you could just buy the one i listed before though since it would be cheaper than buying a new cat.

My edelbrock system is for the 2 1/2 cat then right after its goes up to 3 inch to 99% of the intermediate pipe is 3". If i was to get all new exhaust again i would of got the headers for the 3" cat then bought the 3" cat and the 3" catback. That way it would of been 3 in all the way back instead of 2 1/2 up to 3. But live n learn i guess i want to do a motor swap neway.

?? the flowmaster system doesnt require any welding. everything needed is provided. the intermediate pipe ought to be 3".
