Sounds of a V6 with a flow?

Does anyone have a link to the sound of a 2.8 liter with a Flow on it?

No, I don't. I have heard one however, and it sounded HORRIBLE. The only aftermarket exhaust I've ever heard that sounded halfway decent was the dynomax I had on my 2.8L.

my friend has a 2.8L with flowmaster, sounds kinda V6ish when he gets on it, but idling and cruising its pretty loud.

get the dynomax 2.5 inch catback. Seriously it sounds good, it doesnt sound like an 8, but it does sound mellow and has its own unique V6 sound, which if done right is kinda cool.

No link, but you can simulate it. Go to Taco Bell, eat 6 Bean Burritos, and wait a while. :-)

I can't imagine a crossflow flowmaster sounding good on a 2.8, I'd go dynomax, they have a much "smoother" sound and not quite as loud. A bud of mine has a single flowmaster 40 series with a turndown on his 3.8 mustang and it dosen't sound too bad, but its not a crossflow.

Most everyone on the V6 board over the past year swears by dynomax.. the common view on flowmaster is it sounds too *****.

I have a soundfile, although I'm at school, and the file is at home... When I get a chance I'll post it on my server and then we'll all have access to it.

I will tell you though, he didn't get it above 3 grand, but it was definatly rice...

For my exhaust set up, I'm going:

Generation X Racing 2.8 headers, 1 1/2in primaries
Gen X or custom Y-pipe
Catco hi-flow catalytic convertor
Dynomax 2.5in catback system
22 X 3.5 inch chrome tips (maybe)

All for around 395.

Hey, do you have the sound on your server yet? Where can I get headers for the 2.8?

Gy dynomax, it's what i've got on my 6. At an idle, it sounds 305ish, and still fairly deep when you get going.
