Beastier Exhaust Note?

I can't decide whether or not to get a V- Force Exhaust System, or a Borla, does anyone have any suggestions?
And do you know the better between the two as far as performance?

Never heard of V Force. I like my Hooker cat-back, sound clip in sig, but that is out dated, and sounds tame to what it is now, with my new heads, and long tube headers.

BTW- I'd take your home address off of the location, probably not the best idea.

I was told about the V Force system I have only seen one guy with it, and he was who told me, I was just wonderin' if anyone else knew more about it, I am in the market for new headers, and a new intake, just undecided on what I want.

yeah that would be smart huh...

My suggestion is to stay away from borla. They are way too overpriced. A friend of mine had a borla on his car and it rusted so badly that his exhaust pipe broke off right before the axel and he had paid $1000 for the system and had it for less than 1 year. Also every borla i have heard sounded weak.

But this is just my experience with borla.

I started out with a Flowmaster, but I really wasnt satisfied with the tone. For some reason to me when you got to mid-high rpm's the flowmaster just got too much of a high pitch sound. I then switched to a dynomax and have been happy ever since. Nice mean rumble during idle and while under aceleration.

Isnt borla stainless? Did he buy it new or used?

ya, borla is supposedly stainless and this guy bought it new and had it installed for $1000. Either he got scammed and the shop installed a different system or it just rusted through. Either way it sounded crumby, actually sounded tougher when half the system broke off.

just take the muffler off and put some tips on the car. My car sounds awesome, its a 305 tpi with the stock cat and stock engine. the car is loud when your driving it but when you let off the car is dead silent ( when in overdrive, but when in third it sounds good all the time.

It's more about not giving up, the very next thing you try may solve your problem. Although some people keep trying to fix stuff that's not broken.

I remember seeing that too. Any single 3" pass-thru muffler will flow way more than a cross-flow like a typical thirdgen with 2 tailpipes uses, and I remember seeing more than once that the dynamax was one of the best flowing mufflers.
