Why do you think its your headers? could be a warped rotor and you need it to be resurfaced. Unless you took you engine out to install the headers, i dont see how you could break them with installing headers. The thing that sounds like its coming loose? Not a clue. Your motor would move around if the mounts were broken.

First off, you might want to get rid of the All Caps action you got there. It means your yelling and you won't get far here with that.

Now, you say that it vibrates when you come to a stop. Now does it only happen after you've been driving? Does it happen if the car is sitting there just idling? Now if the exhaust was loose, you probably wouldn't be getting vibrations like your trying to describe. The first thing that I would look at is to see if any part of the exhaust is touching the car/frame in any place. If it is, it could be making the vibration. Another thing that you can do is drive the car until the vibration starts. Once it happens, get out of the car and listen to see if you can hear anything. Might be an indication of another problem.

Hope that helps.

I would suspect you did something to the ignition during the header install, such as crack a spark plug or switch a couple of plug wires around.

You are experiencing what we like to call "header knock". I'm pretty sure your headers are very close to the frame rails and or parts of the A-arm and when the car idles in the lower rpm's, the headers are bumping the frame some where. The best thing you can do is to repalce those old sagging factory mounts with some energy suspension poly mounts. This will slightly raise the motor to give you that little bit of extra header clearance that you need. I get header knock with my hooker long-tubes when the car idles 600rpms and below (surging idle in open loop) and I even have new poly mounts. Replace your motor mounts first. This should take car of your problem.

i have the same problem i put in my edelbrock headers and rattle rattle but its only on the passanger side, i'm 90% positive that its the ring that connects the headers to y-pipe. I havent bothered with it yet since it only does it sometimes but not as often as i would think it would but still its anoying when it does.
