V6 with V8 sound
anyone here know an easy way to get a V6 to make a nice V8 sound??? Also without spending to much money. Now i dont want any of those stupid ryce rocket fart things on it. something that will sound like a 400HP V8

1. pull the V6
2. put in a V8

I'll have to agree with 1991tealRSt-topGuy. But Flowmaster released a system for the 4th gen V6 cars that has a box in the exahust that is supposed to make it sound better. Not sure how it sounds but though I'd let ya know so you could take a look at it.

Go with Dynomax. There is no way to make a V6 sound like a V8 to some1 who knows or even to some1 that doesn't sometimes, but they can sound close to a low powered 305 at low RPM with a good exhaust.

There is no possible way to make a v6 third gen sound like a v8, I know a certain someone that has a flowmaster exhaust on a 4th gen v6 camaro and it sounds nothing like an 8, sorry.

My 86 sport coupe has a hogged out cat and a dynomax catback. At idle, the car would chug like it had a cam (vacuum leak), and had a pretty convincing sound. As soon as I got to 2k rpm, the cherade was over.

Magnaflow exhaust! I getting gas once and the guy pulled up with a thirdgen v6. It sounded so good I went and asked him what mods he had. My jaw dropped when he told me it was a v6.
It sounded great when he reved it. Coincidentally, he worked at an exhaust shop.

I had a 96 camaro before I got my two Z28's....I put a stock Z28 muffler and tips from SLP on it...and put a resonator on the Ipipe before it went over the axle....sounded GREAT. It didnt have the rattle sound...just sounded like a stock V8...except for the idle. But, it was a 3.8too......just my .02. If you want it to sound like a 400hp V8, get the ZZ4 crate motor...with Hooker LT's....good luck
