Exhaust with 2210's, suggestions, comments??
Hey guys, i would like some suggestions for an exhaust to go behind my Hooker longtubes. I could do a cat, or no cat, doesn't matter since my car will most likely not pass emissions anyway. I was looking at spintech now that i have these headers. I was going to go with Borla before, but have since changed my mind. I figured for the same price i could get a custom set up done. Besides, now that i have heard some spintech clips, i am hooked! I would rather go with a y-pipe and then run it over the rear and into a muffler. What size, don't know. Any help would be appreciated. I have seen a few of your set ups and they are nice. I would rather not notch the frame, saw that one, forget his screen name though! That set up was nice, but not for me. So, any examples, pictures?? This could be a good thread to show different exhausts behind these headers with different y=pipe set ups and ect.. Thanks for your help guys.

Do you mean the Mufflex y-pipe or a kit that they sell, kinda like a cat-back system? I thought about the y-pipe, but unless i could find one used, i don't think it is worth it to get it and chop it all up like that. But then again, i have yet to go out and get prices on a custom fabricated exhaust. Plus it all depends on the tubing you use too. That can get costly. If Mufflex has a system like this, then that is deffinately something for me to look into! Just have to worry about the y-pipe fitting correctly.

I just had Mufflex make me a custom y-pipe with cats to go from the Hooker Super Comps to their 4" exhaust.
I lost some ground clearance doing this but remember that NJ has a law in place that no cats = $10,000 fine. If you are going to drive your car on the street keep that in mind.
Damn I am starting to hate NJ laws.

Mufflex has the y pipe and then they also have a catback that fits it. I have seen several people have to modify the y pipe, but I have also seen some that didnt. One guy said that there was several ways you could fit together some of the joints and unless you got it right it didnt fit quite right but I kind of doubt that that many people would have had problems just lining it up right. Maybe they have it fixed or maybe it is just a gamble on what you get.

Well...i finally heard from Mufflex and they want $750 for the y pipe and cat back with a spintech muffler. Now, for a spintech muffler with dual tips, instead of the single outlet, they want $854! Pricey is the word! lol Damn, i don't know what to do. I might just buy the muffler and see what an exhaust shop can do for me. If it'll cost more, i'll just buy this set up. Still undecided though. Thanks for your help. Any other suggestions? later
