My cheapo dual setup

Heres some pics of my very simple, yet effective, 2 1/2" dual exhaust setup. Obviously by looking at these pictures you'll see this car is not a daily driver. Its more "strip" than "street" so ground clearance isn't top on my list of worries. I have about 3 1/2" inches of clearance with this setup with 165/15 skinnies up front and 28" tall tires in back. Car is stock height

The whole setup is just Hooker long tubes, Hedman s-extentions, offset inlet Hooker AeroChamber mufflers and (not pictured) turn downs. I tried adding pipe after the extentions but since the mufflers are pretty big I had NO clearance elsewhere without getting custom bends.

I'll take some of it on the ground tomorrow ...Ground clearance isn't all that bad for street driving

Gonna fire up the new motor for the first time tomorrow hopefully ...I'm hoping its not TOO loud. I've never heard aero-chambers on a dual setup before so I'm not sure how it'll sound ....atleast I wont sound like every other car though with flowmasters.

I try to stay on my neighbors good side so no open headers

With straight through mufflers ground clearance would be great. You could tilt the s-extentions towards the driveshaft tunnel and they'd go straight back to the rear.

My exhaust is just temporary I'm poor have no job at the moment and needed something. The crappy thing is I have a sump in my gas tank so I couldn't just run an off-the-shelf "cat-back" because the muffler would hit. I've been thinking about finding an SLP Loudmouth kit, getting a custom Y-pipe made and removing the "resonater" (which isn't under the gas tank if you've never see a picture of the loudmouth before) for a real muffler. Then I'd be able to have dual pipes coming out the back
