You use any 3rd gen headers.
I used SLP's on mine.
I'm doing a swap right now which I installed the persons Edelbrocks.
Some have used the Hooker 2055's
Some have used the Hooker Longtubes.
IMHO the SLP's are the best choice if you arent running emissions. The best choice if you are and have the cash for the AIR ones and the 2055's if you are on a budget but have to pass emissions.

yea, the lt1 has the same exhaust pattern as gen I small blocks... LS1's are different. They are more spaced out like a big block chevy or a ford. biggal no they dont they have an upside down d shaped exaust port
