Ceremic 2055's

I dont know if this has been posted yet, but I thought some people would be interested to know.

Jet hot sells ceremic coated hooker 2055's for $569 shipped, assuming you're a member of thirdgen.org (its a $50 discount go jet hot!)

Summit sells the headers for $359.95 plus about $13 in S&H charges to get them to your house, $179 for the jethot coat, and $25 for returned shipping thats $577 + whatever shipping to jet hot is.

I heard about this discount on these forums, does anyone know if its availability only requires a thirdgen.org account (like the one im using now) b/c it sounds like one of those too good to be true deals?

Yes, yes, it's been posted before.

And, if you click on the sponsor button for ACS above, you'll see coated 2055's for $519.

Any differences between jethot coating and Acs? Appearance, type of coating...etc?

I will most likely be going with ACS

Jethot has a lifetime warranty on rust and a 3 year warranty on chipping. Is yours better than that? Also, not trying to knock you, but I would be kind of leary of spending that much money on coating when I have never even heard of the company before. I'm not a fad kind of guy. I like proven products and companys.

My thoughts exactly, thats why i decided on hookers w/ jet hot, instead of hookers w/ hooker coating.

metalic, how'd you get yours for $520?

Dave, what exactly is this unmatchable warenty? I might go w/ ACS if they really do have a good warenty and i get some good input from others out there...

ACS told me they'd chop off the air tubes on the 2055's for me, weld them, then coat the headers

No sniffer here.

I got mine for $520 because thats what they quoted me a while ago. A few months before I had money for headers, I e-mailed them and asked for a price quote (This was probably last fall) and they said it would be $520 shipped. So then when the time came to order them (in March this year), I e-mailed them again just to make sure the price was still the same. I think they probably changed it by then, but since I said they had quoted me $520 before, they said the price was still the same. They're a really great company with great service.

I just paid 317 for coating the headers and the "Y" pipe. Add the 300 for the headers, and it all comes out somewhere in the end. Save some here, spend a little more there,, it's only money, right??

heh, when your 17 and every penny of your near minium wage fast food job gets poured into your car b/c you want to get as much stuff as you can before you have to pay for college the term 'its only money' doesnt justify anything.

Jet Hot gave me a quote just yesterday of $545 for the headers and y-pipe (2055) and $65 s&h to Canada, including my mention of thirdgen.org. I too am interested in how well ACS's coating (and price shipped to Canada) compares.

Hi, We have a 3 year warrantee covering the coating coming off, peeling , flaking and lifetime against metal rust through on new parts. We are determined to have the best prices available, so we will price the 2055 sets at $509.00 and shipping $12.00 to $20.00 in the 48 states. Shipping to Canada is $30.00 to $45.00 depending on area code. We have coated headers and sold coated headers to numerous thirdgen members. Our ebay user id is my email address dhamil@texas.net , so you can go to ebay and read the 257 positive feedbacks and zero negative on our coated header sales. We accept paypal also user id dhamil@texas.net . If you happen to find a better price that I can verify let me know and it will be beat. Thanks and have a good day everyone, Dave at American Coating Specialties 281-446-6203

Jet-hot goes above and beyond, in price.

I bought some stuff off Dave. Really nice guy. Infact they're all nice guys over there, they spend time on the phone, answer questions, etc. Jet-hot is too expencive, and has too much of an ego ..

As far as quality, the ACS job came out just fine.

You misinterpreted what I meant. What I meant was, some things you get at a better price, when you can wait for them, and when something breaks and you need your car back on the road, you may have to pay more for the part.
That's what I meant when I said """ and it all comes out somewhere in the end. Save some here, spend a little more there,, it's only money, right?? ""

I was 17 once, and I remember those days.

Well this is significantly less than jet hot. And if you guys will chop off the smog tubes, well lets put it this way, ill be calling you as soon as i get $521.

BTW IIRC jet hot has the same exact warrenty so ACS's would be just as good.

Dave in all reality, how long does it usually take ceremic headers to start to rust on cars that arent driven in winters?

Well, Like any metal other than aluminum, It's up to how well you take care of what you have, Our coating when well taken care of will last as long as you want. I.E. drying the headers when you get them wet with high pressure air and a rag. Or polishing them with Mothers red and White compound when you run the car too lean or too fat!!! As with any great product, maintenence is the key to longevity!
thanks Jimi manager @ ACS 281-446-6203
