However on the road part throttle is surpisingly tame, makes for great cruising, but drop the hammer and and she really starts to bark.

i realize that a lower bassy tone will travel farther, but how loud would you consider your setup to be?
im looking for a fairly quiet exhaust....

The Spintech Muffler is actually real nice, they are loud at idle and under WOT but cruising they are pretty mellow. They dont drone like a Blowmaster does. I have run a Hooker setup as well, it was also very reasonable during cruise.

spintech does more quiet muff
MrDude_1, Spintech has in the street muffler section, the "Sportsman Street" muff and also the "Sportsman Street XL" wich is said to be even more quiet... i got "Pro-Street" ones and love them... not too loud (LOUD!! at WOT) since i got stock cam and 2" duals. no cat.

how loud is than compared to the flowmaster 80 series? i have an 80, 3" catback, no cats and 4"x24" tips and its not too loud but i don't want anything much louder.
do the sportsman streets have that tone? i'd like to know because i'm building a 350 with that same cam and that is exactly the sound i'm looking for. what compression and heads are you running?

If you guys are looking for the loudest spintech, then go with the race series "pro shoot out". That is their loudest. My combo should sound good: 2055s/3" mandrel I pipe/spintech pro shout out 3" in/out. It would be nice to go with the pre-made mufflex kit, but 3.5" is overkill for my combo.
