I have a set of dynomaxs that look like edelbrock headers, I had to have a custom y-pipe made, cost about a 100

a shop will make a y-pipe for 60-100 bucks.
basically the cost of a new one from edelbrock.

hey this is Jimi @ ACS headers. I called my distributor and Edelbrock does not have a seperate part # for the y-pipe. It comes in a kit with the headers. But when Edbrk opens on monday he is gonna try call in a favor for me and try get just the y-pipe, if you are interested let me know before mon.
Thanks

I ordered my edelbrock replacement -pipe from Summit, and they acually had it in stock. Its only about $70 also. Now, the cross over pipe which connects the drivers side header to the acual y pipe is like $140 or some crazy ****, for a 12" pipe maybe? Dont order that... chances are that 9 out of 10 the cross over pipe isnt damaged.

yeah, everythings screwed, only thing good is the headers themselves, they torched it off or something.

btw yes im interested in getting a replacement pipe, any idea how much $$ were talking?

also my other question was,is it worth sinking money into these headers? im having them and the y pipe sent out for ceramic coating, having a friend do it. TPI383 he does badass work and backs everything

If you got everything for free then yes, but otherwise their design leaves much to be desired.

no doubt they work "ok," but with better headers such as the hooker longubes for the amount of power you must be making you would be even faster I can almost guarantee.

true, but he was asking if they would be worth puttinh money into. Being that I run pretty strong on them, I think that would help him make up his mind on a lower HP engine.

They are decent, and for the price of the y-pipe it's worth getting them. Actually, the y-pipe design is worse than the header design, so you may just want to get a custom one made.
