It doesn't have to be "relocated". The tube bolts to the manifold in stock config, can't do that the way the header tube runs in front of that bolt. To keep it from flopping around, I tie-wrapped it to the A.I.R. manifold. Crude, perhaps, but effective.

So your saying it doesnt have to be taken out at all just tied out of the way and kind of bending it?

Take it out so its not in your way when you are installing the headers. (the tube will just pull out of the block). I fabricated a simple bracket, attached it to the tube and then to the head.
On my friends '79 Z-28, we used Summit's chrome tube and stick. It fit so tight, I had to shave it a little and tap it into place. It's tight enough that it doesn't need a bracket to hold it in. Thats an option for you to try if you don't want to fabricate a bracket.

I just had to bend it a little, but it works fine.

Really??!!

My dipstick tube bolted to the rear-center manifold bolt, and the header primary sweeps back and blocks that bolt.

But then, I started with an LG4, and these headers are intended for TPI applications. Unholy alliance, you know...

I bent the hell out of mine, simply because I was overly anxious to get the headers in. I also broke the fan switch on the passenger side of the block. I have yet to fix either
