Listen to my car: Keep it that way? or get a muffler?

I want you guys to listen to my current exhasut...which is the factory pipes with no muffler. It doesn't sound bad at all IMO, but when you get to WOT, it begins to crackle and sound kind bad. I want something more aggresive sounding, but smooth as well.

I've never heard a LB9 with just a Flowmaster 80 series muffler, but I've heard they are quite nice sounding. Could you all point me in the right direction as to what to get?

Here is my current exhasut:

I currently have no muffler either, my L03 sounds similar. I think it sounds great at WOT, but part throttle it could sound a little better. I say go ahead and get the muffler and if you miss the old sound just get a cutout. BTW, do you have a cat?

Get the muffler. If you like it loud you could go with a spintech pro-shootout, moroso spiral or dynomax bullet...

I was dumping after the axel when my muffler rusted off. I drove it that way for a month and I was embarrassed by every minute of it. It had to be the most annoying sound ever. Get a new catback- at least a new muffler.

Doesn't sound too bad, but I'd get a muffler.

Ever consider Ravin? I love the sound of it on my L98, I haven't heard it on an LB9 though.

I dont have a muffler either. I like the sound but the cops dont. I've been followed many times. As soon as I get money i think I might get some flows. Does the 80 sound as good as 40. My friend has a blazer with a new crate built up 350 with 40 is sounds bad a$$.

I've got a 80 series and its loud. In fact it sounds much like yours does.

I also know someone with a LB9 and straight pipes. My 80 series is just as loud as his straight pipe. Now, maybe thats because he's got the peanut cam.

But I know mines plenty loud enough and I'd wish for something a little quieter.

That just doesn't seem as loud as my car was at all... so that's with just no muffler... so the piping goes all the way back to the rear end? Mine cut off around the middle of the car if I remember right... it was LOUD...

Yup, it's a full cat-back (if you will) of the factory piping. They (whoever) cut off the muffler and then welded in some dual exit piping (that's why my exhaust tips were so ugly for a long time...until I got a little recip saw happy one day).

I gotta Flow 40 series muffler if anyone wants. It needs reducers since I got the wrong one, but it will fit. I heard clips and stories of flows, and since it's on my mom's mustang, I'm sick of flows. NEVER been put on anything. Box is opened, but other than being touched, nothing has happened to this muffler. Never touched the ground, only the box

Supposedly a little louder, no dual tips, and flows a little better.
