i have an 87 z28 so the engin is diffrently setup that in the pictre shown in the how to remove smog pump tech article. I was wondering can i just simply take the belt off the air and be fine because the air has one smal belt conected to the middle pully and thats it and that middle pully already has another belt conecting all the other accecories so cant i just take the one small belt off the smog pump and be fine?

 

yes if u have one belt going to the smog pump than take that belt off and remove the pump and the rest of the a.i.r
