The damn exhaust restrictions in the U.S.

It make no sence cause you no how many countries have No restictions and run horrible on their cars. its almost like we have to make up for the rest of the worlds neglect. Well I dont give a rats a$$, thats why I have no cat anymore, no cat on my Monte Carlo either.

You do realize that the US creates most of the pollution in the world, right? Maybe that is why we have a responsibility to run cats and strive for cleaner emissions. But, that being said I don't have a cat on my car either. Oh well.

Ozzga, who is it to say that we need a "big brother" telling us what to do all the time, constantly looking over our shoulder seeing what we are doing. Sure we have it good here, and our gas prices are too high also!:lala:

Regardless of the fact that this post is probably doomed to be locked....

1) Emissions as annoying as they are, are there for a reason.
2) We are all lucky to live in a place where we can work on our cars freely.. A catalytic converter should be the least of your worries, many people our age are overseas guarding Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti and the Gulf.
3) Most state emissions laws are fair.. but I do think that if we want to run cat or emissions-free.. We should be able to do it with a permit that the driver purchases. Maybe the money could go to some kind of environmental cause or something.
