new belt and the a/c delete box.

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...2Fc+delete+box

the new belt thing is kinda tricky since i had to go form the newer year belt routing to the older year rounting and then get a new belt.

Yes it is. The AC is comepletly separte from any emissions stuff. Removal of your smog pump will require a diff belt though. No biggy.

No you can leave your AC in place to get your air pump out. It may help to unbolt it and set it aside though. You do not have to dissconnect any lines just unbolt the compressor and lay it aside. There are 2 bolts that hold the AIR pump on. One on top and one on bottom. It will come right out after you remove those two. Be patient because they bolts will not go easily. Be prepared to swear a lot.

also the bolts that hold the air pump are behind the pully right? the pully has to come off the air pump to do this correct? help im in the middle of doing this right now so the sooner the better.

That is the carcoal canistor. You can delete it but it won't do anything performace wise. It really doesn't weigh that much either so I wouldn't mess with it. Make sure you unbolt the smog pump pulley before you take your belt off. If not it will just spin around on you. Even if you forget you can just put the belt back on and then loosen them.

well i was doing this as i posted so i did that but didnt put the belt back on i figured out a way to get it off. and its off now. i left the AIR tubes in the manifolds for now. im thinking of just plugging them where the rubber hose connected to it instead of trying to get them out of the manifolds. also the one on the drivers side blew warm air out of it while the two on the passenger side kinda sucked my thumb to it when i covered it. why is this? it is off and the car ran a bit ruffer. i didnt let it run too long as i dont have a belt on it because i didnt get one before i started. ill get one tomorrow morning and put it on. i also broke a vacume line that went off of the back of the TB to a little module bolted to the fire wall that also had 3 wires connected to it. what is this? i will replace the line tomorrow as well. also noticed i forgot to plug the vacume port for the thermac when i put on my open element yesterday. after i plug these and the AIR tubes will it run smooter. with them all unpluged it blew a bit of black smoke. not a whole lot but a little. then when i pluged the two on the TB it stopped and blew white smoke. it has always blown a bit of white smoke(bought the car in november and its been cold so you know what i mean there) sorry if this is hard to understand. try and explain it to me as best. thanks.

You deffinately need to have that plugged in. That is your map sensor and it is very dependent on vaccuum. If you look under your hood you will see a vaccuum diagram for where everything should go and where it goes to. You also need to plug your thermac port. That is causing a vaccuum leak. You can plug your AIR tubes comming off of the manifolds. If not exhaust will come out of them and act like an exhaust leak.

Yea you can plug them a couple of different ways. You can actually buy a cap that screws onto the end of the AIR tube coolector and caps it off. I cannot rememerb the size off hand because I just tore mine out without really looking on how it pieced together.

also with that vacume line that ran to that module on the firewall is it ok to use just regular 1/4" or 3/8" hose. the one that was there had a really small brittle hose and ends desinged for 1/4" or 3/8" not sure.

I do not know the size off hand. A set of callipers will tell you what the connection diameter is and you could go from there.

I am sure you can use a little bit bigger one if you want but you have to make sure it still fits on there tight and does not let air get by.
