Cut out

Is there anyway I can install it without welding anything? Right now I'm looking at the Jegs and Summit cutouts for about $30.

you could prob make your pipe slip over it and then clamp it down but it would require alot of pressure on the clamp you best bet would be to weld it because i dont know how strong the hold would be with the clamp. i never tried using a clamp though anybody think that would work?

So the cutout should come a bit bigger than my exhaust pipe? Say I order a 2.5 cutout, should it slip over a 2.5 pipe? If so then all I'll do is put a bolt through it to hold it.

What you are seeing in Summit and Jegs are cutouts intended to be welding in. You could possibly make it fit over the pipe if you had the ends flared to an 2.5" Inside diameter on the cutout, and then slip it on both sides of part of the exhaust on the car which I am assumign is a 2.5" outside diameter. Trust me though you woudl really rather take it and have it welded in. Most exhaust shops will only charge you about $20 or so to weld in it...
