How many hours should it take to install new header gaskets

I'm debating doing it myself or hiring it out. I'm afraid that I don't have the time to do it myself. Just asking for approximate time...I don't want to get ripped off. Where should I go for this...muffler shop or a well-rounded mechanic?

From posts I see that 9 hours is way too long (thank goodness). I do have AC (hopefully they won't have to let out the freon just to replace the gaskets) if that makes any difference.

Any guesstimates are appreciated.

Thanks!

took me about two hours the passenger side is EASY to do.. the driver side is a little harder you have to remove brackets and the last bolt closest to the firewall is rather hard to get at

^ What they said. Passenger side sucks though. Drivers side was cake. Atleast with my car...

if you've done them before or are a good mechanic, under a hour.

if you never work on cars... who knows? ive seen people on here take a half hour job and streach it for days.

Took me 15 minutes to do both sides. I also don't have the AC in my Z any more so it took freakin longer to remove the clips off of my stage 8 bolts than to put the gaskets in.

Well I put exhaust manifold gaskets on yesterday, took me about an hr to do both sides, and that's counting the time it took to modify one of the gaskets. The felpro gasket set i had, came with the spot that slides of one of the end bolts to hold it in place was filled in so i had to cut it out with tin snips.
