Banks System Info
I finally got my new Banks catback. I ordered it from Kenn at Entec: 866-640-0994. I ordered the 3rd gen I-pipe & over axel pipe and 4th gen rear section with a crossflow muffler and tail pipes exiting on the driver & passenger sides. I haven't installed it yet, but the system looks great and I really like the polished tail pipes that are polished all the way from the muffler and not just the tips. Total price shipped from Banks in CA to me in VA: $303.
Kenn provided me with the following flow numbers from Banks for the system: CFM 765, 16 horsepower. I should have asked if that was for the crossflow or the straight through muffler that exited on the same side.
It would be my luck that I ordered the system on 4/30 and just got it 6/8. Entec is only the distributer and the 3rd gen system isn't something that Banks stocks, so I had to wait for another production run. With the recent interest in the system, hopefully there should be a few made now that no one else will have to wait that long. Overall Kenn was a very good person to deal with and answered all my email requests/questions.
I'll post another update after the system & other exhaust mods are installed.

Banks cat back was the system to get in the late 80's. It used to cost alot more money back then. I ordered my system direct from Banks about 8 month ago and had it in days. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Heres a link to there site. www.bankspower.com

Has anyone had a chance to compare a banks to a flowmaster 80 series on same car (or perhaps similiar car?)
I know sound is subjective. I just need/want to know which is quieter/louder, and where (idle, WOT, etc.)
reason for asking: i have a flowmaster 80 series, and want something quieter- especially at WOT and under general acceleration.
thanks!!
