need help identifying broken engine part!
while working on the engine today I removed a silver tube, which goes into the exhaust manifold on each side of the engine(see pics), I removed the driver side one and the end fell apart when I touched it, I took a closer look and even though it looks shiny, it is rusted through on the inside and on the big nut and hose connection that is on the end. does anyone know what this is called? so I can try and get a replacement. I have attached pics of the broken part and where it came from in the engine.
Also where can i get this part from, i live in the UK so i would need somewhere that can post it.
Thank you.

Those are the air tubes. I think you can replace it. Others will know for sure though. Check out the classifieds for people selling them or parting out their cars. Shouldn't be to expensive but shipping will suck.

i dont know what you guys have over there as far as emissions go, but if you wanted to, you can just get some plugs (i think theyre npt) and youd be fine

You should be able to run the engine. The air tubes are only for emision purposes. It doesnt really affect the way your car runs.
You need to seal that hole, don't run it open otherwise it's just a huge leak. That big valve is called a check valve, it prevents exhaust flow going back into the A.I.R. pump. If you don't need emissions, plug that off, otherwise you'll have to weld a fitting on there. It's a standard plumbing size, IIRC. I think, the exhaust manifold input is for warmup only (?), I'm not entirely sure on that. I believe once it's warmed up, air is pumped into the cats.
The A.I.R. diverter valve sits on top of the passenger side valve cover, behind the A/C. It controls the flow of the A.I.R. pump to the manifolds or to the cats.

Do NOT run the engine untill you plug those holes. Get some brass plugs at a hardware store like I did, put those in, and then you can run the motor
Just don't run it untill you plug those holes!
