Hey guys I was watching horsepower tv the other day and they were showing some headers that are about the same size as manifolds I think he called them block huggers but anyways I was wondering if any of you have had experience with these they said that they are good but they are paid to say that

First, won't fit in our chassis.
Second, there are different "block huggers" out there. Some have small primaries and don't flow much better than stock cast manifolds. Mostly they're for street rods with front engine mounts and narrow frame rails.

Re: Block hugger headers
Is the dizzy gonna ride against the firewall with the motor jacked up with those mounts?
Also the drivetran angle is gonna be thrown off which will probably put more strain on the universal joints, not to mention the trans will now be even closer to the tranny tunnel.
Not trying to knock the idea but these are some things I'd look out for.

It would mess up a lot of clearances & geometries.
Have you figured out all of those details, or just got the headers to clear?
