AIR Setup questions
ok, since i removed my air setup on my car it seems to be running a little fishy.
Without the AIR tubes connected does the the o2 sensor get a bad reading or something? In theory if there is no air there should be no oxygen in the pipes it should all be burned off. So the air is to pump oxygen into the pipes if there is no air in there wouldn' the reading be different.
I am running rich but headers dont get red hot or anything.
It backfires when i let off full thottle quickly. Proving its running rich.
I was getting code 36, 122, and another but i forgot it. SO iunno.
What is there todo?

Start with the codes and go from there. I didn't think there was a code 112. There is a code 12 however that supposed to be there.
Get the codes, all of them, they important, d00d. Then while you are posting those codes (so someone can tell you what they are, cause you are too lazy to look them up), you can post the info for that 200 dollar thirdgen that is pro streeted, we are still waiting on that stuff.

rckid, ljnowell is right tho, u can get the codes yourself (search or what u really should do anyway, buy a haynes manual) then if u need help as to what the code means (idunno...like what could be causing it or somethin) then post that. as far as the air system goes, r u trying to say that the air pump pumps air into the headers?? as far as i know the air system pumps air FROM the headers to the cat to heat it up on a cold start...well i don't know details so check this out

The codes arent very vauge at all, just use common sense and they help a lot. As far as being sarcasm, yes and no. He has no intention of fixing it, he will waste time here with a thread or two, and take it to a shop. Whats up with that stuff, you still havent posted up a number.

and yes all he is doing is wasting time and space on this site with this thread have to agree 100 percent...LOL
Donalds wasnt a thirdgen though. Everytime my codes came up, it was easy. O2 sensor, MAF, vacuum, etc. Easily fixed by reading codes, and using common sense. But, alas, once again I have forgotten the "who" part of this equation. lol

. You and I both know better. No, just more smoke blown by therckid. Nothing out of the ordinary. Apparently the 200 dollar pro street car with 2 ft wide tires that pulls wheelies down the road was forgotten about. I believe shane has a 350, from a vette, that he is working on now. At lest thats what the last locked thread said.

i'm looking into buying that vette motor, if you paid attention at all, i moved 2 weeks after finding this car to missouri, so there was no use in buying the BB camaro.
No use in sending the contact info for other interested people too? Run the numbers, probably not from a vette. Even if it was, there is no magic that rubs off from the fiberglass around it. Just call it a l98, so you dont sound stupid(er).

Maybe you should just be dealing with the car you have now and quit trying to impress people with projects that never happen cuz you work at a fast food joint and cant afford projects anyway. Just be concerned with getting by day to day and stop with trying to have a car as fast as John Forces... Enjoy your car, save lots o' money and then when your 19 or 20 you can start upgrading. And if you dont listen to me you will be grounded to your room until further notice without dinner!!

no the back end of the vorvette was run completely over by a semi. Or so thats what the jukyard guys said, i dont see how a semi could actaully crush the car like that. I think myabe a jacked up ford did it but thats just me. The engine still runs you an turn the key and it still starts and everything. Nothing really wrong with the engine.
