ok so i was hooked on banks for a while thaught for sure that is what i was going to get. But then a friend told me about hooker aero chamber cat back. well looked into it and found an exaust clip and now i dont know what i want. either the muscle car sound with aero chambers or the banks which sounds like the lm. what are your thoughts on both of the exausts.

They would both be a great addition to your car. Choose which one you like the sound of the most.

It is tough to say. The baks kit is nice but you have to piece it together sorta. Also, the Hooker kit can be purchased with a reducer on the edn it you are only upgrading the cat-back on an LO3 or LG4 car. I think you come out cheaper with the Hooker but both will make you happy. I have the hooker but would have most likely tried the banks if were around when I changed my exhaust.

Well, the banks sound nothing like the LM.

The Hooker sounds good IMO, but to "muffled". If those are my two choices, I'd go with the Banks.

REALLY don't have to piece the Banks together as long as you order the correct kit through entec or the like...They order so many of them they pretty much know the drill on the different configurations..Banks gets my vote , especially since you are getting a better quality material for about the same price

i am also curious about how they are made. are the welds better one when than on the other. which has the best material used. which one is lighter. etc. etc..... you know what really makes me kinda mad. there really arnt any performance part shops around these days so you can go and see the product. so you can make the right choice its all done on the internet now which is good but still id like to see what i buy first. not just pics. you know what i mean.

they are both good kits...it is really all personal preferrence when it comes to exhaust systems.Personally i choose the Banks to be different than everyone else and I liked the fact it was a stainless type system for about the same cost as the other aluminized kits.

I am officially a fan of Aero chambers now. I have run Flowmaster 40's, Dynomax turbos, Dynomax bullets, and now a pair of 3in Aero chambers, and I love the sound of these. I need to weld on a couple more hangars and I'll take a sound clip and post it here within the next couple of days.
