i have the spiral flows and was told they're slightly quieter than the bullet mufflers. either way it's loud.

well i was just gonna go with a 3 or 3.5 inch straight pipe, but i figured i might wanna have some backpressure...so i'm looking into something like these kind of mufflers...there isn't much of a performance difference is there??

i'd have to say the bullet would flow more, there's nothing to them, it's straight thru. the moroso spiral has a spiral thingy in it

EDIT: the bullet is $10 cheaper, i might buy 4 when i do my duals so that would be $40 saved with the bullets....but...using 2 spirals might make it quiet enough to only need the 2.. something to think about

i'm running headman long tube headers with the S-bend extensions, into an H-pipe, then about 2-3 feet of tubing back into the spiralflows, and then ending in turndowns. I like the S-bends that summit sells because they are mandrel bent so the whole exhaust is either straight tubing or mandrel bent for maximum flow. I am going to read my digital cameras instruction manual to figure out how to do videos then i'll shoot you a video of it. It's loud when you open up the throttle but at idle it's not too bad. It is quieter than no mufflers, but definately isn't a flowmaster. If you shoot me a PM with your e-mail address I can send you something probably tomorrow. I can't host a video so I'll just e-mail it to you.

My car has a catalytic converter so it muffles the sound a good bit. Here is a sound clip.

The only way the bullets and spiral flow mufflers are too loud in my opinion is if you aren't running some sort of X or H pipe.
I am running dual 2 1/2" with an X pipe and 2 1/2" bullet mufflers, with tailpipes it was super quiet, without it is like any other street/strip car.
My friend has dual 3 1/2" with an X pipe and 3 1/2" spiral flow mufflers with no tailpipes, his truck is pretty quiet for what it is (12:1 solid roller 383).

yea i was afraid bullets were gonna be too loud, so i started looking at mufflers...then i'm afraid its gonna be too quiet...but then again i don't wanna get in trouble with the cops every corner i go around...i have a pretty good eyesite for cops tho, and when ever i see one i just let go of the gas, so i can get away with a louder exhaust, but I'm afraid i'll get busted with something too too loud...i wish i could hear some bullets in person....i'm going to be running dual 2.5's out of LT headers, then dumped right before the rear axle through 90 degree turndowns kicked to the side a bit...you think it will be too loud if i run bullets? i'm not worried abotu having it too loud for me, i can withstand any exhaust, i'm worried about getting in trouble with it....what do you guys think?

i had the moroso's with no balance tube dumping right underneath the car and it was LOUD. now i have an h-pipe and went with a chambered muffler, much better. actually thinking of making it even quiter with some of the dynomax ultra-flow's, and they probably flow better.
oh, and for you ground clearance ****'s here some pics of the clearance i have. granted, it's *slightly lower than stock* (v6 springs all the way around and no spring isolators out back) but i have a 28" tire out back:

you probably wont get the backpressure your looking for with the spiral flow mufflers, heres why:

thats the 3" spiral flow for my car, theres about a 1" open section through the middle, straight through no spirals..

i still have them, but they have some 2 1/2" pipe welded to the inlet side. i can cut them down so they only have like 6" of pipe sticking out instead of the 3' they do now.
