side exiting exhaust question....
im planning on going the true dual way with side exit exhaust and what i want to do is run the piping along my SFCs and floorboard. the routing is not a problem but i was wondering if i will encounter any heat issues with the piping being flush to my floor board and they are right next to my rocker panel (side ground effects) mounting tabs and i noticed these pieces are plastic, will they burn being right next to my exhaust piping?

ya my set up is like a real side pipe set up but not the litteral "sidepipes". what im doin is custom down pipes from turbos to the sides where my rocker panel begins and then the pipes run straight down between my SFCs and the pinch rail on the floor boards. the mounting tabs for the rockers are 1/4 inch away from my exhaust piping. they are true dual 3" all the way back. from the side with them mocked up i think it looks bad ***. you cant see them till bout 7-10 ft away but even then you only see 1/2-3/4 of the pipes. definately doesnt look bad in my opinion, reminds me of an old vette but not really haha.

air_adam. how did you run the exhaust. did you have it made or did you just cut up your existing exhaust?

It did sound really good, had a very nice bark to it, but the ground clearance wasn't great. It was fine most of the time, but you had to be very careful going up driveways and over speedbumps.
