You also need a 45* bent pipe to make the turn to point the intermediate pipe at the cat if you have a single cat car, dont need one if its a dual cat car.

imo it takes custom work which is beyond the skills of most DIY'ers. If you're handy with a torch, then more power to ya, however for most people it's going to take a trip to the exhaust shop and a couple of bucks, in the end making them wish they had just bought one for a thirdgen.

I just did this. I would hold off if I were you. pretty quiet. If you want I will make a sound clip for you.
I just ordered a spintech stainless muffler to replace the magnflow to try to wake it up a bit.
they way I did it was to eliminate the cat. bought a ball and socket joint from bassani. welded that to the header. then cut the i-pipe from the kit so I just need a striat shot to the ball and socket joint on the header.
of course you will have to mess with the hangers a bit. took about 3hrs so at a shop it would be around $150-$200 to get it done if you don't have a welder.
the kit is cheap though. $350 for 304 stainless exhaust. just a tad quiet for my taste and I have not cat and slp headers. I though it would be alot more agressive sounding.
