Which is quieter?

On a single 3" in/out setup.Which will be quieter?I know the flow ratings..just worried about sound level!

Dynomax Ultra Flow welded #17233 with a 20" case length (Glass-wrap perforated tube)

or

Hooker Areo Chamber #21505 with a 14" case length (Chambered)

Case length says Dynomax to me..but...any real world experiences?

If you are looking at their bullet muffler than the Dynomax will be tremendously louder than the aerochamber.

ive had every muffler made on my car and the dynomax stil rocks!
the oval dynomax will take care of you.
the hooker is just a tad louder, IMO, but either is a good choice.
the dynomax will have less interior noise.
the bigger it is, the more noise its gonna eat up.
go as big as will fit your application.

That's my plan..bigger is quieter. But it seems to be near a 50/50 split for either muffler.I am leaning towards the Dynomax.

On another note...do you have any pics of you current motor setup?I am looking into a carb LS1 swap.

Any other recommendations on which one to go with that will be quieter?

Seems to be a 50/50 split.

i just took off a single in and out dynomax 3" for the single in dual out 3".
the dual out has a lil less noise under acceleration, WOT, and at idle.

lil more raspy when you let off the gas from acceleration.

i give the dual out thumbs up over the single out, tho it doesnt flow the cfm the single out does, i doubt its hurting any power.

Re: Which is quieter?

Back from the dead...

So I finally swapped and went with the Hooker Areo Chamber #21512 with a 22" case length (Chambered). Nice rumble at idle, absolutely no more "tinniness" to the sound and overall just sounds more "muscle" even for a single 3". I have mp3's of before and after, but how do I post them here?
