Long tubes and duals

I finally found a way to run long tube headers and dual pipes on a 3rd gen without too many headaches. I used hedman long tube headers and had an exhuast shop bend a 'S' curve into a 2" pipe. I left alot of slack on the ends and cut to fit to make the bend directly under the transmission cross-member. I then just welded flowmaster 40 series to end of the pipes. It was very inexpensive to build and sound's awesome. You can then just end the tips of the mufflers even with the middle of the door, or just get some 30 degree bends and put some chrome tips coming out the side. And by the way, the clearance is suprisingly awesome.

A guy at our track used to have a set up just like that on his GTA. And he used 2 inch pipe also. I cringe at the fact I'm running 2.25 inch dual pipes with my shorties. I couldn't talk myself into running 2 inch pipes anywhere. But maybe they are far enough back with the long tubes that they aren't hurting flow to bad. Would be good to make some runs with the headers uncorked and then some with the pipes on to see. I'd really like to know.
