Check the video in my sig, Dynomax Ultra Flo oval case, its fairly quiet, and flows like a beast, made my own cat back with 3" mandrel bends, and made mine so it would be a center in and out muffler, you can see straight thru it.

My Magaflow muffler is quiet when cruising around at low throttle openings. When you floor it it assumes a throaty roar. By the way mine is a 3 1/2 inch. Get the biggest muffler that will fit. The body of the muffler is 22 inches wide on mine. One more thing either the Dynomax or Magaflows are what you are looking for. They have the straight through design.

I would suggest Dynomax ultra flos like above, or the magnaflow muffler. The mag is a little bit louder, but its still so quiet you can't even hear the car idle.

The Super Turbos are an excellent choice,I've used them on several different vehicles.I have one on my '95 Jimmy and at idle has a nice throaty idle, even for a V6,and not to obtrusive even when on it full. Was the same on a '95 V8 Dakota i had.The Dynomax actually outflows Flowmaster 40 seires below 3500.

well, i am wanting to make it quieter so i will be able to cruise it, (more cop friendlier), is the super turbo pretty quiet though, compared to the ultra flo

edit: i will be running hooker competition shorties going into dual 2 1/2 " pipe, maybe an h or x pipe into pipe again, then (quiet )mufflers, then pipe exiting hopefully right before the rear bumper

right now it has the headers going into dual 2 1/2" pipe into flowtech warlock mufflers, ended right under the front seats

You could make her quieter with your present exhaust by just running it over the axle and exiting out the back. You're getting a lot of resonance from the turn downs is why she's attracting unwanted "uniform" attention. But the super turbos will be more neighbor friendly that the warlocks.

I've always joked and said that when making a sleeper you've gotta put Cadillac mufflers on it. With the newer more high output Cadillacs like the Escalade I wonder if this would be a viable option? Anyone care to explore this route?

I can't really compare the sound of the stock muffler to my new Hooker Aerochamber muffler, mostly due to the fact that I only had the car a few days before the stock exhaust rusted through.

What I can say is I am extremely pleased with the way the Hooker's sound. It's very quiet (but rumbly) at idle, and light/mid throttle is very smooth and not overbearing enough to hurt indoor conversation. At WOT, the muffler sounds amazing, and it's not an overwhelming wave of noise... just good old V8 sound. This is all compared to a year or so running with only open exhaust manifolds, which is annoyingly loud.

I'd give Hooker's a try... they are very nice and quiet.
