They're decent parts. Assuming you're putting them on a Gen I or II small block Chevy engine, of course. They won't fit a 2.8l V6.
With dual cats, your direct-fit options are those and the similar Hedmans. Single cat, add Hooker 2055's to the desireable list.

I installed edelbrock ceramic coated t.e.s. headers and dynomax cat back system on my 91z last winter and the headers still look like new ! I love the sound and though I did not run it at the track or put it on the dyno I am very happy with the performance increase as well !

does the single or dual cat setup matter if you get a y pipe made?

Put their TES on my 88 last year. Y-pipe is with the headers. Very complete kit. Mine is the single cat three inch. Fit pretty well although I had the engine out to do most of the fitting. Look and work well so far. Real satisfied with them. Hooked up to a Catco high flow converter and Dynomax exhaust. Everything fits well, sounds just right to me.

They have both the single and dual cat products. I ordered a single-cat setup for my dual-cat car before they put the dual item on the market. That didn't matter for me b/c I had an older Edelbrock set of headers already on the car w/ that special 2 1/2" downpipe set they {used to?} offer. I still have the y-pipe in my attic. I got the "shiney" set (the official monicker escapes me) and they still look good.

I used to have Edelbrocks on my LT1 (still have them in my garage if anybody's interested) and I liked them alot. Everybody likes to put down Edelbrock, but I think they make excellent products.
How were the gains from the header install? Was there a serious improvement or just "eah.... it feels a bit better..."
I'd really like to hear your input or from anyone else with these headers. A sound clip and/or dyno sheets would be great.
Thanks a bunch

Try this site. They've got a ton of clips from just about every muffler/header/cat-back/whatever combo you can think of.

I have had the edelbrock headers for going on 7 years now. They have been wrapped for the past 3 which many say is a no no but I have yet to have any issues. I like them, the fit and durability has been great. I also have edelbrock's new SDT cat back. Sounds kinda tinny and flowmasteresque at idle and low rpm, but under a load and at high rpm it has a pretty wild and violent scream. I have no cat by the way.
