Flowmaster 40 Series

Alright I put up a picture could someone please identify the inlet, and two outlets on this original 40 series muffler. I know it doesnt match the exact pattern of the original but I wanna make it work. PS: the 40 series is $70 on summit and $112 on flowmaster.com funny....

The inlet is the single one and the 2 outlets are on the same side, thats why its a little tough to use these on our cars in the stock place, if you want to you could wrap one of the tailpipes around the back of the muffler and out the other side.

Damn it thats what I didnt want it to be! How the frig am I gonna manage to do this now! So much for my $600 exhaust budget... How sure are you about that? I see people talking about putting these on with no problem. I love the detailed description flowmaster gives you for the muffler.............

$600 budget? Is that including headers too?I did my cat back for around $200 and thats including a Flowmaster 80 series muffler. I could have been less than $180, but I sported for cool looking band style clamps instead of regular exhaust clamps.

I have 2 40 series on mine but I also have true duels on also. You could always put 2 dumps on the outlet side and just dump them under the car.

The one you were thinking of was probably the 80 series that fits the same way in the stock location.

Anyone have rear pictures of a camaro with dumps? I know the idea but want to see what they look like / what the back of the car looks like w/o tips.

I have a single cherry bomb in the stock location dumped right after the muffler so it exits right behind the rear tire, it looks pretty good, you couldnt even notice it unless you were really eyein up the exhaust. Ill try to get a pic up tomorrow if my camera works

Alright thanks. I am interested in this and thinking I'll go the you can hear it but not see it approach with my car... Only thing I cant figure out is how I am going to get fresh air into my hood with my open element under a stock hood. Rethinking my L88 cowl idea...
