Borla owners, how are the tips mounted to teh body?

I bought a used Borla system the other day and we only partially installed it, basically welded the over the axle portion and bolted the tips to the bolts that hold the rear bumper support on using metal strip with holes in it. (didnt' have time to weld on the hangers)
Well, the metal strips that were holding the tips up broke tonight, so now the muffler is bouncing around.

What method and material is supposed to be used to support the tips?
I searched on Borlas site for the installation instructions, but they don't have instructions for our cars online.

I'm not a Borla owner, so I'm useless. However, I am surprised, given Borla's rep, that the tail pipes themselves didn't include a provision for hangers, like the OEM versions.

There are provisions for hangers on the tailpipes but I don't know what they used between the body and the tailpipes to hold them up..
The muffler wasn't on a car when I bought it, it was just in my friends backyard, he got it from someone else.

GM, no doubt, still makes the original hangers (driver and pass), both of which incorporate rubber.

if you have a welder, go to Advance or AutoZone. They have universal hangers which should work fine if you can find a way to bolt them to the underbody

or even side walls to old tires work. if you cut them clean they look just like the hangers
