Hooker 2055's & Alt brackets...

I helped an experienced mechanic this weekend install my Hooker 2055's.
I am legally blind and while I have done some things on my car, sometimes I have to pay those more capable.

Anyways, he says there were 2 brackets holding the alt to the stock exhaust manifold driver's side (91 TPI). I used Breslin header bolts, and no studs were provided. He said I would need to contact the header company and get studs to remount the brackets or the alt / ac would begin to shake and break the main bracket...

In all my research, I've not read or seen anything about this... Can someone please advise?

After I installed my hooker 2055's I left my alternator bracket off and on the way to work. The Alternator broke off. So I would definitely suggest getting it fixed. I just used a longer bolt with spacers in it and it works perfect. Goodluck

I'm not totally familiar with the TPI bracket mounting, but you should be able to use the original manifold bolt with the supplied spacer between the header flange and the bracket.

I didn't get a look at it before he took it off.
I do have the stud, but it's not shiney and new
Thanks for your replies and help.

I found this.... it's nice and shiney!

Someone with experience chime and and let me know if that will work, I think it has the same thread size as the breslin's I installed (I threw the box away and can't remember).

Don't mind me, I enjoy typiing to myself...

I found this thread.... https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tech...headers+alt+ac

It would cost me $100 in cab rides to go to all the places to get this done...

I still have the stock bolts, they're 3.5 inches... that jegs one is 4... but the sleeve looks to be lose fit... so it wouldn't work...
