I know this is a little off topic but how do you like that jack in the pictures. I saw one for about 62.00 and liked the looks and price. I still debating if I want to buy that one.

I highly doubt the gains are worth the weight and especially money.

Re: got some pics of my stock style dual exhaust
I was wondering whether there are even any gains or not. The maze that the air goes through in those pipes (especially the one that goes all the way to the driver side muffler inlet) seems like it would be more restrictive than a single 3" exhaust with a straight-through muffler that dumps on the driver side.

That doesn't mean it flows better than a single 3" pipe.

Re: got some pics of my stock style dual exhaust
Overall I like the setup. How does it sound? I am worried that only having one muffler ruins the true dual exhaust sound. As for it flowing better than a single 3", it is simply a matter of wether or not the additional bends offset the benefit of having more cross sectional area than a single 3". They look like decent bends with modest radii. Do you have a side shot of the car, I'm curious to see how much it hangs down under the rear seat area.

Re: got some pics of my stock style dual exhaust
Even if the power difference is moot, or even if the dual setup is slower, I will ALWAYS like a dual setup more than a single for the sound. A Y-piped chevy sounds nasty IMO. Thats what makes dual setups worth the hassle.
Some people just don't get it. I would happily take a .2s hit in the 1/4 for infinitely better exhaust tone. After all, is I was after pure speed I wouldn't be building a camaro.

Re: got some pics of my stock style dual exhaust
Well, since this topic has been revived...
I like the idea of duals in the stock location, and that looks pretty good. But I'm thinking performance might be hindered a bit, not because of the bends, because they look fine, but because of the two pipes dumping into the single muffler.
If the single muffler has a dual str8-thru design, or even a cross-flow design(which is similar to a dual str8-thru), it would prolly work well. But if it's an open-chambered design, like a Flowmaster(which it looks like it might be), then it prolly has the exhaust from both pipes dumping together into an open chamber, then fighting to escape thru the two exits, which means there could be quite a back-up inside the muffler.
I think I'd have made it similar to the GMMG, with something like dual SLP Loudmouth 1 or 2 mufflers instead of a single muffler. And actually, you still could do that in the future. The hard part is done(the under-the-car piping and bends), so all you'd have to do is work underneath the rear of the car to make such a change.
But regardless, nice job. Post a sound clip, I'm sure we'd all love to hear what it sounds like.
Edit: duh, I just re-read your first post and saw that you said it's a cross-flow muffler.

Re: got some pics of my stock style dual exhaust
hey guys i thought the thred was dead my self but since it isnt to answer some questions, the muffler is a dual exhaust crossflow, the reason for the muffler was because of clearence issues, origionally i had intened it to be a dual muffler setup but there were clearence issues and and it would have hung low, i wanted it tucked up, as i said the muffler is a dual exhaust crossflow, sounds great especially at 2000 rpm, it was $$$$ but IMO it was worth it. and BTW the jack, its good actually, lifts up the car nicely, its a 7000lbs jack. ill make a sound clip soon, get some opinions on how it sounds

87gta Why not use muffler eliminators? .... My friend has a 90 vette with them and stock exhaust and cat converter and it sounds pretty goodhas the nice dual exhaust sound but not obnoxious sounding.
