People using other LT's besides 2210's.

I'm having a hard time gathering the money for the 2210's. I see Headman, Summit and even Jegs now makes an inexpensive LT. Even Hooker has the 2640's

My question is, Is there anyone out there going tens or elevens with any of these Lt's? Or any sucess stories?

* My combo * '86 Camaro SC. 383, 11.1 cr, AFR heads and agressive comp cam, Vic jr and 750 carb. 3 inch true duals and some other crap.

you already have 3" true duals without the headers?

My car went faster on the headmann long tubs and the 2.5" true duals than hooker super comps and 2.5" true duals

xpndbl You really went faster with the headmans vs the 2210s? What is the primary size on the Hedmans?

There are lots of headers that are cheaper than the 2210s, but if you are looking for something with a 1.75" primaries, your choices are pretty slim and expensive.

Hedman 68460s are 1 5/8" primary, 3" collector.

It's really all about the money. If you've got it to spend then you tell yourself your car is so powerful that you NEED the 1-3/4 primary tubes or you'll be choking it to death! In reality the rest of us with less money know that our cars really don't need 1-3/4 primaries and go with the much less expensive, better fitting, hedman lt's with 1-5/8 primaries and never notice the difference except in our ability to purchase fuel with the money we saved!

P.S. I just installed the hedman lt's and they were a breeze to put on except for one caveat. If you have angle plug heads you CANNOT install the #3 spark plug! The primary tube is dead in the way. You must modify the tube. Which I guess begs the question; How much is the extra work to fix the tube worth to you? Maybe you should purchase the Hookers.

I think I've just completely ruined my whole argument...wow......

unless(like me) you know that you dont NEED 1 3/4" BUT you are running a t-5. Then yer screwed cause the F*&^)@G hedmans wont fit. So i guess i'll just hafta build the 444ci so I WILL need the large primaries

I have Hedman 68460's. Long tubes. AFR L98 angle plug heads. No spark plug issues.

I've got Canfield angle plug heads. I can't see them being much different than the L98 style but apparently they are. I'll see if I can post a pic of the tube I had to modify. Post a pick of yours if you can so I can see the clearance you have. Like I said, on my heads there was NO WAY that plug was going in!

The plug actually sits above the header primary. It's low enough though so that I have to finish removing it by hand.

I had the same problem with Victor Jr. heads and Hedman LT's. Some "clearancing" was required to keep from burning up spark plug wire boots on #3.

No burns here yet. Maybe the Jet-Hot coating is helping.

Re: People using other LT's besides 2210's.

After seeing the picture I noticed the difference. On my heads the spark plug is angled down quite a bit more. Where yours angles above the tube with enough clearance to start threading, mine angled directly into the primary tube. You couldn't even start threading it. It's good to know other people ran into some problem with the #3 tube though.

P.S. I almost certain the coating has everything to do with not burning the boot you lucky dog you. Wish I could have afforded the coating. I've just got a small piece a header wrap there so I don't boil the break fluid,
