I have tried them both. In a 3.5 sgl exhaust setup. I liked the split flow for sound quality, but it was way to noisy. so now I run the flowmaster mufller in the stock location. With a split flow setup going to duals at the axle , you "will" be over 100 db noise level at part throttle easily. Your neighbors will hate you and every cop within a mile will here you coming and you will definately stand out from the crowd.
I dumped my "single" dynatech at the rear axle also, but it was just to noisey. I could not even here anything in or around the car. You yelled at someone instead of talk to them when the car was running. You make the choice.
