SLP Header?

I picked up a set of SLP headers from a flea market the other weekend. The guy said they were for a third gen, but they have no y-pipe. They seem to have 1 3/4 primaries. Does anyone have any pictures of SLP headers and a y-pipe for a third gen that I can compare these to? I'm looking to get the y-pipe to install them on a single cat 1991. Any part numbers or pictures would be helpful. Thanks, Tim

Re: SLP Header?

i have a gta with a set of slp headers, but i have dual cats. i know headers are supposed to be the best headers for a 3rd gen, i would go for the dual cat set up. you will get more flow, and a bit more hp

Here's a shot of my old SLP's when I got them. We modified the air fitting screw-on so it would work like stock:

Re: SLP Header?

Might check with Dyno Don in the SoCal section. His headers are based on the 1 3/4" SLP versions but with improvements. He makes y-pipes in both the single and dual cat versions.

Re: SLP Header?

SLP has the y-pipes on clearance right now. Both the tri-y and standard shorty sets.
Heres mine #30005C Shorty with Y pipe, Stainless Steel, Coated header portion, Non-Emission, 1 3/4 Primaries and I bought the 3" to 3" slip-fit adapter,

Re: SLP Header?

I believe Dyno Don had mentioned before that his Y-pipe can work with SLP headers with some modification. Might want to check with him.

13 year old thread
Dyno Don closed business and is hopefully enjoying retirement. Right before retiring he made me a SLP 2.5" Y-pipe so he only made a couple of these
after cleaning and Bill Hirsch high temp spray paint
