I've got a set of Heddman shorty's and need to weld in the O2 sensor fitting on the drivers side collector. Will the orientation of the sensor be the same as the factory manifold? If not, where is the proper location so that I don't need to extend the wire or hit any part on the car. Thanks

IIRC, the manifold faces it to the front. My Hooker headers have it facing to the back. I had to "reorient" the wire in the harness, but it fit.

I don't know that there would be a problem putting it on the front of the collector. I don't think it would hit anything, but I've never had Hedman shorties, either.

i just put in some hedman shortys on a 88 ta and i origanlly had it in the same place as the stock but it ended up being in the way we had to pull it out cover the hole and relocate the bung to the back side of the header
