I have a new motor headers etc in a 83 camaro and i tried to tighten plugs on the heads and i cant get to a couple of them header is in the way to get socket on them. Does anyone know of a tool or different socket for this problem? THX TO ALL

Pretty common to use a short socket with a slot cut in one flat to get it past the insulator.

Actually, the SLP socket is a slightly different concept - short socket, ratchet square machined out, use a hex wrench to turn. http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=30102

when i ran 2210's i did all my plugs with a 5/8 craftsman combination wrench.
i have some cheapies, and a mac..... craftsman had the best angle.

Are you working on the side that you took the picture of? Those plugs look eally easy to get too. Try a 5/8" comb wrench. That should do the trick.

Pass through ratchet works for me. Spark plug insulator passes through the ratchet head, just like a box end wrench. Found lots of other uses for it too.
