Dyno Dons Headers
Just installed the headers and all I have to say is wow. I previously had Edelbrock TES. When I removed the tes's, well at least on the drivers side was kind of a bitch. But putting in dons headers was easier than taking the tes's out. By the way I have more clearance with dons bigger 1 3/4 headers than I did with the tes's 1 5/8. These are perfect and work great.
Thanks again Don

Re: Dyno Dons Headers
I hope so. The torque on this car is a little low though. Only 455 at the motor. I am planning on keeping the y-pipe on there when I race, but I will put 2 cutouts on the y around 17-19 inches from the collector. Hopefully that flows enough.

Re: Dyno Dons Headers
The price on the headers is XXX. Today when I put the y pipe on it went on without a problem. When I took the edelbrock y off it was dented in about an one the whole width of the oil pan.

They are very nice headers, i just had to work through a couple crooked bolt holes though. He also sells pipes if you have the dual cat set up, fyi.

Damn, are they really worth that much more than the hooker super comps?

Re: Dyno Dons Headers
i dont know i have never used them. main reason i went with these is cause they cover the D port LT1 heads and are 3/4. Not to mention they are specifically made for these cars, so fitment issues are non exsistent.

Re: Dyno Dons Headers
Don doesnt post the prices online because each header is different, depending on if you want the AIR tubes or not, and what kind of y-pipe you want. Also, shipping is different depending on where you live. Please respect his wishes and do not post your price online.
Which Hooker Super Comps? The long tubes or the 2055 shorties? I have no idea if they're better than long tubes, we've never had anyone do a swap. But they are better than 2055's due to the larger primary tubes and the better routing of the tubes, if you need larger than 1 5/8" headers.

Re: Dyno Dons Headers
I mean the 2210 hooker full lengths. I beth the DDs might have better ground clearance? I know the 2210s clear the slave on the T5 VERRY well, the headmans DO NOT.

Re: Dyno Dons Headers
Dyno Don's headers really do look like one of the best header options that we can get our hands on. The problem is that it's really hard to get a hold of him. I've been PM'ing him trying to get some info, which I did get, but I want him to put me on the purchase list. If anyone knows how I might be able to get a hold of him in other ways, let me know?

Re: Dyno Dons Headers
I have run out of stock, but I am working on making some more.
Sorry for the delay but it does take time to get them ready.
That and I have all my regular work and emergencys to take care of.
Sheeeh...wish there was more time in a day.

Re: Dyno Dons Headers
From all the pics I've been looking at lately, the collectors on Don's headers look much better than the ones on the 2055's as well. That was the one thing I just couldn't get past when I was considering a set of 2055's.

Re: Dyno Dons Headers
Yes we have noticed that too. Hooker makes their collectors smaller to provide a better seal to the y-pipe, but that restricts the outlet and the flow.
