i have a Bone Stock 305 TBI Trans AM 1991 w/ WS6 euro version

i just installed a Flowtech Terminator with the orginal stock end pipes.

i driven arround... 350miles with installed new flowtech terminator but the car isnt louder!

i heared from guys who just installed a cat-back, edelbrock, on there stock 305 TBI and the car is louder then mine whats wrong with my car!

 

How's your cat? You should notice a sound difference, but a better flowing cat, especially if your still on the original cat, will enhance the sound too.

 

its still the stock cat.
my car has now 74000 miles under the hood.

is it realy because the cat? did the stock cat sounds the car so down?

my car with the flowtech is just a little bit, just a little, louder then with the stock muffler

with Full AC i hear just the AC lol

 

1) You are not making any power

2) You still have stock pipes

3) You have a cat, those hole back sound doing their job.

 

is it louder when i add a HighFlow cat?

because i dont want rebuilt the exhaust from headers, is very expensive in switzerland :S
i paied 700$ for install just the muffler....thats normal at the shop here lol

 

Well, a high flow cat and a larger cat back system will help.

 

what you think about my FlowtecH Termiantor with stock end pipes with a high flow car? i dont want that my car is extreamly loud but i want that i realy hear the v8 everytime

 

I guess you could say it is "louder"...I guess it is, just never really thoughgt of that aspect. I'd think of it as a "truer" sound, allowing the engine to breathe better, & the muffler, of your choice, soud more like it should/could/supposed to.

 

Holy guacomoli batman, 700 bucks for a 50 dollar muffler, thats a 1400 percent markup just for that muffler to travel a few thousand miles.
