Re: Why?
Full of exotic metals, so they are worth quite a bit of money for scrap. Some people even steal them off cars parked on the street now because of that.

Re: Why?
Well it looks like whoever won them ended up paying $132 + $23 shipping. Now what, they will resell them for scrap hoping to make a few bucks? Sounds crazy to me.

Re: Why?
Yeah, they got hammered on shipping lol. When I pulled the one of my RS, I scrapped it, and got $100 even. The aftermarket ones don't sell for nearly as much at a scrap yard, and some little punk *** in my neighborhood hacked the ones out of my wifes mercedes about 6 mos. ago presumably for scrapping. Bastard took the 02 sensors too.

Re: Why?
Find a metal scrap yard man, they weigh them and then you get paid. They also look inside of them to make sure you didn't gut them. Like I said, for my single cat, I got $100.

Re: Why?
believe it or not cats have platinum inside them. When I was working for Hyundai I had to specially despose of the cats that were removed after recalls or what not. I person from corperate would come once a month to collect them and after that I have no idea where they went.

Re: Why?
I wish I knew this before. When I hacked my stock cat off I just threw it in the trash can.........
And why would aftermarket ones be worth less?

Re: Why?
From what i would think, aftermarket ones would be lighter and have less stuff in them because they are made to flow better thus not having much inside that would be worth anything. Just my $.02
