Cross Fire Exhaust

My car has the funny cross fire injection mufflers (2 mufflers connected by a pipe) does anyone make a performance replacement?

Re: Cross Fire Exhaust

Magnaflow,Spintec, and Flowmaster (in that order) all make similars. If they don't have specific parts, any muffler shop would be able adapt them to work.

Re: Cross Fire Exhaust

Just search the summit website for catbacks. The flowmaster 86-89 305 tbi system fit my car '83 crossfire car perfectly. With your setup you should probably use 3" pipe. Single inlet and dual exit for muffler.

I noticed a significant difference in top end accerleration when I got rid of the retarded dual muffler setup, and I have a mostly stock 305 CFI. There should be HUGE improvement for you if you're running the combo in your sig with that crossfire exhaust. Hang on tight when you get on it for the first time with the new exhaust!

The best performance replacement would be most any aftermarket cat-back made for the '86-'90 TPI single cat application.

Which Hooker headers do you have?
