Are Edelbrocks all considered shorties? And has anyone used this dynomax dual kit?

Are Edelbrocks all considered shorties? And has anyone used this dynomax dual kit?
Hi I have a set of Edelbrock headers on my car that I believe were on this kit here: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
My question is, are these like the same dimensions as other shorty headers, because I heard somewhere they were different. I am thinking of putting this kit on my car:

I want to know beforehand though, if it will fit my headers and if it's even worth installing. My alternative though, since I've been cruising with open headers and getting tickets and having to yell over my exhaust when I want to talk (even though i think open headers are badass lol) would be to get first this crossover pipe:

I'd then have to hire someone to bend pipe between my crossover pipe and the 3" I-pipe I have thats bent to clear the axle back to the flowmaster that's sitting in my garage. I think the dual kit would be cheaper and way cooler. Thoughts?

Edelbrock only makes shorties for our cars.
The main issue is each header brand has their own collector end-point, collector connection, etc. The Dynomax kit is made specifically for their headers, but the kit could be modified by a competent shop to connect to the TES.
Don't forget you need to get mufflers for that dual kit as well.

Yeah... not to mention that dual kit isn't as cool as I thought now that I look at the instructions. I thought it would exit out the sides, like in front of the rear wheels but it looks like when they said 'to the side' they just meant that both tail pipes end up on one side of the rear bumper, which is totally stupid. Why make a true dual set up look like it just has a single muffler with a split ended tail pipe?

I don't get it. Now that I'm looking at the compatibility more closely, it says that these crossover pipes only work on 1987-1990 models. What would be different enough to screw this up between then and '92? I might just do it anyway- take a leap of faith.
Edit: Ok, after doing some searching, edelbrock sells their headers through summit as complete kits with the y-pipe, and depending on what year you have or if you have TBI or TPI, you could have single or dual cats, and either a 2.25" inlet on the cat or a 3". Since I'm not using a catalytic converter, I will probably be fine going with that particular crossover pipe since it's a single piece pipe and is for a single cat system...

If you got headers for dual cats, you'd have two pipes instead of a y-pipe going to the cat area. You could run dual pipes to the back from there if you like.
To the best of my knowledge, the only remaining dual cat header sources are Edelbrock, Hedman, and Dyno Don.
